Adele pre-recorded a concert last month in New York City at Radio City Music Hall, and it was broadcast on t.v. last night, on the NBC network. It was kind of, shall we say, AMAZING.
Eight songs were broadcast on the one hour television special, including some of her most popular tunes over the years. To kick off the show, Adele beautifully performed “Hello”, and then went on to sing, “Set Fire To The Rain”, “All I Ask”, “Skyfall”, “Someone Like You”, “Million Years Ago”, “When We Were Young”, and the infamous, “Rolling In The Deep.” The lucky audience members got to encounter Adele’s glorious pipes, wit and personality.
Adele joked with her audience multiple times, talking about how nervous she was, and how she almost didn’t even do the concert because of her nerves! She credited her husband for somewhat shoving her to gain some bravery for the event, thanking him, and claiming how he was there at the show watching her perform for the first time ever. The resilient Adele scared, seems something almost not believable. She naturally projects a sense of power and courage, that sometimes it’s difficult to remember that she is a normal human being, just as you or I.
Adele also made sure to thank her fans. She went on throughout the night periodically thanking her fans for always being there for her, and allowing her make a strong comeback after the short hiatus.
At the end of the night, Adele was brought to tears, talking about how great and understanding everybody has been throughout the whole process of her junior album, “25”, and how grateful she is for all of the support she has received so far.
Who would celebrities be without their fans, anyways?
Adele also announced that in 2016 she’ll be hitting the road stateside, with 46 tour dates in the USA. This is the first time in five years that she will be doing this, and critics and fans in the United States could not be more excited to see the shows come to life, with her breathtaking, angelic voice guiding the room, each and every single night. She will be touring dates in Canada, and Mexico as well.
