Adriana Lima has announced she will be retiring from Victoria Secret after 19 years with the company.
The brunette beauty has often been referred to as ‘the greatest angel of all time’ but today at the taping of the 2018 ‘Victoria Secret Fashion Show’, Adriana announced her retirement from the world famous company.
The model announced her retirement to her 11.7 million Instagram followers through a montage of her time with the Victoria Secret and stated “Thankyou Victoria…not just [for] giving me wings, but teaching me to fly.”
Adriana began her Victoria Secret journey at just 18 years old in 1999 and later signed a deal to become an official ‘Angel’ in 2000. Her 18 year career as an angel has seen her open the runway show 5 times and wear the world-famous fantasy bra 3 times, an honour only given to the utmost deserving of all the angels, usually Victoria Secret’s most loyal models.
