It has been revealed that superstar Adele got ordained and conducted comedian Alan Carr’s wedding in January to his husband Paul Drayton. He announced the news on ITV’s This Morning on Tuesday.
Alan explained that the Grammy Award-winning artist was in charge of his wedding to Paul and hosted it in her Los Angeles home. Adorably, she also sang for their first dance.
“Adele wanted to organise our special day. She even got ordained!”
“She’s known me and Paul for ages, and she said, ‘I want to do your special day. Let me do everything.'”
“So she did everything, and she got ordained, and she married us. She is the kindest, most sweetest, loveliest person ever,” Carr explained on This Morning.
Adele backed Alan up by posting a photo on her Instagram explaining her side of the story in a beautiful outfit surrounded by hundreds of white roses.
The comedian wouldn’t specify what song Adele performed at his wedding but he did say that she also organised the meal and flowers, adding that it was “the best day of my life”. Not only that, Adele also flew the happy couple out to Las Vegas to watch fellow superstar Celine Dion.
Previously, Alan had announced his marriage to Paul in January but had only said he and his new husband had tied the knot in a “small, private ceremony”.
