After two number one EPs on the Singer/Songwriter chart, Alexander Jean, along with Lindsey Stirling, released their new single, “Stampede” on Friday, June 8. The music video dropped today.
Alexander Jean is comprised of husband and wife duo Mark Ballas (“Dancing with the Stars,” “Jersey Boys”) and BC Jean (“If I Were a Boy”). The name came from the couple’s middle names. The indie duo has been married since November 2016.
After Ballas was partnered with Stirling on season 25 of “Dancing With the Stars,” the duo went on tour with the violinist, became fast friends and the idea of a collaboration was evident.
The single, now available on most streaming sites, features vocals by BC with Stirling on the violin and Ballas on the guitar and hit number one on the Singer/Songwriter chart on the day of its release.
After watching the video, it’s obvious that this trio is a force to be reckoned with. BC’s vocals will give you the chills, the dancing will make you wonder why Team Stark placed second on their season, and the music will have you motivated to get up and dance. They used their skills, close relationship, and talent to create a video you don’t want to miss. The collaboration has a flamenco type beat with the trio sporting tribal paint on their faces in the video.

Ballas posted on his Instagram that this is just the beginning of new music leading up to their third EP, which will most likely be released this year. He also stated that there is a “pretty epic” announcement coming soon.
He recently played Teen Angel in “Grease” in Toronto, CA where he and BC performed an acoustic set every night after the show, where fans could meet them and pick up some merch.
