Congratulations are in order for singer-songwriter Andy Brown and his wife Joey Kendal Brown, as she has given birth to their first child.
The couple welcomed a baby boy, adorably named Knox Orlando Brown, on October 30 and announced the news on their social media today.
Taking to Instagram, Andy posted a black and white image which “was taken just after he was born”, capturing their first experience of ‘skin on skin’. In a gorgeous message, Andy said “It’s now my life’s mission to protect and guide him the same way our parents did for us. Looking into his eyes for the first time was the most surreal, emotional and humbling experience of my life.”
Championing Joey, he added that “@joeykendalbrown was absolutely incredible, she blew me away how she took it all in her stride, an absolute superstar. He’s such a lucky boy to have such an amazing Mummy. We can’t wait to watch our little man grow up. Hopefully I can do him proud as a Daddy.”
The message was followed by a series of Knox related hashtag puns.
Joey also shared a beautiful Instagram photo, which detailed that Knox arrived into the world at 3:32am and weighed 7lb 8 ounces.
Paying tribute to Knox and Andy, she said “I couldn’t love my little Andy carbon copy anymore. His Daddy gave me the strength and courage to get through the labour and has supported me every step of the way. As anyone who’s started a family will know it’s the most mind blowing emotional experience in the world, I can’t wait to see Knox grow into an incredible man like his father.”
She also added the series of hilariously adorable hashtags about Knox.
Andy is best known for being the lead singer of Lawson, who are currently on hiatus. He is now busy carving a solo career and recently released his debut single ‘Landslide’ featuring The Shires’ Crissie Rhodes.
The singer famously proposed to Joey in the music video for Lawson’s single ‘Where My Love Goes’, and the couple got married in December 2016. They announced that they were expecting a baby in May this year.
