Vevo has revealed British pop sensation Anne-Marie as its first LIFT act of 2018. Anne-Marie’s LIFT series will see the ‘2002’ hitmaker release an assortment of live performances and personal behind-the-scenes videos.
Since releasing ‘Alarm’ in 2016, which went gold in the U.S., and featuring on Clean Bandit’s 2x platinum ‘Rockabye’ with Sean Paul. Anne-Marie has racked up 5 billion streams and 12 million global single sales. She supported Ed Sheeran on his 2017 arena tour and is now opening for her long-time friend on the European leg of his stadium tour, which includes four sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. Recent hits like‘Friends’ featuring Marshmallow, and ‘2002’ co-written with Sheeran, Steve Mac and Julia Michaels both soared into the Top 5 of the UK Singles Chart.
The first video in the series is an intimate interview entitled ‘Becoming: Anne-Marie’. Shot recently in Phoenix Park, Dublin when she opened for Ed Sheeran on his sold-out ÷ Tour, ‘Becoming: Anne-Marie’ finds the singer-songwriter exploring the therapeutic quality of songwriting and performing, her anxiety until she goes on stage (her ‘safe place’) and being an empath who gets low when seeing sad people.
Over the following weeks, Vevo will continue to roll out videos including exclusive live performances of tracks from Anne-Marie’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Speak Your Mind’, as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
