Anne-Marie was one of the guests on this week’s Sounds Like Friday Night and treated audience members (and viewers at home) to two electric performances.
First off, the ‘Ciao Adios’ singer delivered a sassy performance of her Marshmello collaboration, ‘FRIENDS’. The friend-zone anthem was well received by the audience, who sang along to every word. Not only did Anne-Marie showcase her attitude, but she served some powerful vocals too.
Later on in the show, Anne-Marie gave her first ever TV performance of her latest release, ‘2002’. Once again, the audience lapped up the nostalgia-filled hit, which references some of our favourite songs from the 00’s. It seems that the UK as a whole is loving the song too, as it debuted at number eight on this week’s official singles chart.
Both tracks are taken from Anne-Marie’s debut album, Speak Your Mind, which was released on Friday (April 27). Whilst the album has been a long time coming, it is well worth the wait. The songstress has delivered a powerful body of work full of personal songs which deal with a variety of issues including mental health, body image and confidence.
The album is currently sat at number three on the worldwide iTunes chart. Keep your eyes peeled for our review of Speak Your Mind coming soon.
