After months of speculation from the media and fans alike, presenter and all-round entertainer Ant McPartlin has confirmed that he is very sadly splitting from his wife of eleven years.
This morning, the star’s representative released a statement on their situation and asked fans for privacy while the delicate matter is being worked out.
“In response to the speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that after eleven years he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin,” the statement initially read and then went on to say, “Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time for both himself, Lisa, and their immediate families.”
No further comment on the situation is expected to be made.
Ant and Lisa got married in 2006 after having known each other for over a decade beforehand, but it has undoubtedly been a troubling year for them. So while their decision to split is upsetting, it is hopefully the best thing for them in the long run and we want to wish them both the best of luck for the future.
