We have another new single and music video from Antonia, and it is beyond catchy. Titled “Tango”, this track is fierce, strong, and sassy; something that we have been waiting for Antonia to drop. This follows up previous single “Adio” which featured Connect-R.
The song has been written by Trey Campbell and David Ciente; whilst the music video has been directed by Dan Petcan. The visual uses the skills that Antonia learnt when she was in Uite cine danseaza (the Romanian version of Dancing With The Stars – in English, the show’s title translates to “Look Who’s Dancing”) shown on Pro TV. Her partner was Paolo Campigotto, and they came sixth overall.
Fans have managed to spot Alexandru Nedelcu, who is known in Romania for being on Exatlon Romania, which is the Romanian version of the Turkish show.

Upbeat and catchy, “Tango” by Antonia is one of those songs that we wish would become an international hit, but will probably just be a treasure track amongst her Antoholix (Antonia’s fans). It has a Latino flare side to the track – which we are to expect from a song titled “Tango”. It’s one of those songs that we can see many people dancing to; we certainly can’t sit still listening to this. It would slide perfectly next to her 2016 song “Get Up And Dance” featuring Achi. We hope this song is part of a new album since she needs to follow up her debut LP, that she released in 2015.
As for the music video, it plays on bright colours which take some time to get used to. There’s too much yellow to start off with, only to lead into too much blue before melding into green right at the very end. Antonia dances all the way through this, even bringing a remixed scene that sees her and two backup male dancers pull off some modern choreography. She nails all the choreography with confidence, giving it the energy and the superb quality it needs. We also can’t forget about the brilliant all-female scene, bringing female empowerment and girl power to this music video.
“Tango” is available to download and stream right now through Global Records. We can’t help but hope she releases an album soon, as we need all of Antonia’s new releases on one LP.
