Fans of The Apprentice have been waiting with bated breath to find out when the next series of the brutal business show will be hitting our screens. However, the wait is nearly over as the BBC has confirmed the official start date.
The Apprentice will return to our screens on Wednesday October 4 at 9pm. That’s just two weeks until the search for Lord Sugar’s new business partner begins! The new series will also include returning aides Karren Brady and Claude Littner, and we can expect the usual combination of tough tasks and colourful candidates.

A teaser trailer was recently released, which implies that Lord Sugar will be tougher than ever this year. The trailer features dancing candidates, a dramatic visit to the Bridge Café and a lady channeling her inner Miley Cyrus by swinging on a pointy finger wrecking ball.
Lord Sugar, Karen and Claude interrupt proceedings, with the head honcho stating: “What’s going on here? I asked you to make a trailer, not bleedin’ La La Land”, before firing the director. Finishing with the tagline, ‘No time for nonsense’, it’s clear that Lord Sugar will be hard to impress.

Last year’s winner was Alana Spencer, the Welsh wonder who impressed Lord Sugar with her cake company, Ridiculously Rich. Whilst many were pleased with the outcome, eagle eyed social media users knew in advance that Alana would be the winner thanks to a Twitter faux pas. Traditionally, Lord Sugar only ever follows the winning candidate, and a few days before last year’s final was aired, he was found to be following Alana. She was quickly unfollowed however, it spoilt the outcome for some viewers.
The Apprentice returns to BBC One for its thirteenth series on Wednesday October 4 at 9pm.
