Florida born pop star Ariana Grande has had an exceptionally successful year and we take a look back at some of her highlights from 2018.
Fans of the singer were eagerly anticipating hearing Ariana’s new music, the music which would be the first material since the Manchester Arena attack.
Ariana didn’t fail to deliver and released ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ her lead single from her fourth studio album ‘Sweetener.’
After the initial single, Ariana then began to release more music with ‘The Light Is Coming’ featuring Nicki Minaj and ‘God Is A Woman’ before eventually releasing the album in August.
Following the release of ‘Sweetener’ Ariana did a mini-tour titled ‘The Sweetener Sessions.’ Three shows commenced in the USA, New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. A final show took place in London, UK. The setlists for her show’s varied, including her current hits and ones from previous albums.
In November Ariana Grande began teasing her fans on Twitter, hinting she was making new music and working on her fifth album. ‘Thank U, Next’ was then released on 3rd November on several digital platforms without any official announcement making the single a surprise release.
Ariana continued to tweet, uploading videos and images as she worked on the ‘Thank U, Next’ music video, teasing her fans even further before releasing it.

The ‘Thank U, Next’ video pays a homage to four iconic movies, Mean Girls, Bring It On, 13 Going On 30 and Legally Blonde. The video features many well-known faces such as Kris Jenner and Troye Sivan to name a few.
Also in November, the One Last Time singer took to Twitter to began releasing tour dates for the upcoming Sweetener World Tour, which kicks off in America in 2019. So far, the only dates released have been for America and Canada, however; we can expect European tour dates in the near future.

At the Billboard Women in Music Awards, Ariana Grande was fittingly awarded the ‘Woman Of The Year’ award. Upon accepting the award and making her speech, Grande teased what is coming up for her next, creatively.
Ariana Grande has had a fantastic 2018 and we look forward to seeing what she has lined up for her fans in 2019.
