It really was no April Fool. On April 1, Ariana Grande and Victoria Monet teamed up together to release their collaborative single, ‘MONOPOLY’. Ariana has frequently collaborated with Victoria in the past; Victoria has written songs for all five of Ariana’s studio albums.
Ariana mentioned that this song was a thank you for the fans. “There’s so much to celebrate and to say thank u for! Seriously! We mean it,” she said on Twitter.
‘MONOPOLY’ is a trap inspired pop song that sees Ariana and Victoria make references to the popular board game of the same name, whilst they sing about celebrating life and their successes.
Ariana and Victoria also released a music video for the song, which sees the two girls simply just having fun. It’s a cute video that matches the song very well.
‘MONOPOLY’ is available now to download on iTunes and stream on Spotify and Apple Music. The song is currently #1 on the US iTunes chart, so it is sure to become another hit for Ariana, who has just achieved her 8th week at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘7 rings‘.
