Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, professionally known as Halsey, is an American singer-songwriter. Halsey is an anagram of her real name, as well as being a name of a street in Brooklyn where she spent a lot of her time as a teenager. After gaining a considerable amount of attention online after posting an original song to SoundCloud, she signed to Astralwerks in 2014 and released her debut EP, Room 93, the same year. The singer has toured with artists such as The Weeknd and Imagine Dragons. In 2015, she released her debut album, Badlands, which charted at the number two spot in the USA. Also, she has collaborated with the likes of Justin Bieber and The Chainsmokers, not to mention that ‘Castle’ was remastered to be a part of The Huntsman: Winter’s War official movie trailer.
