Imri is a singer and voice actor who was born in Israel and is of both Romanian-Jewish and Ukrainan-Jewish descent. His music career started when he was still at school, after he joined a boyband. In 2012, Imri auditioned for The Voice Israel and made it to the battle rounds before being eliminated. Imri also performed the Hebrew voice over for the film Trolls.
Imri then went on to perform as a backing vocalist for Nadav Guedj and Hovi Star on their entries at Eurovision in 2015 and 2016 which both qualified for the final. In February 2017 Imri finally got his chance to shine after being chosen to represent Israel at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. He will be heading off to Kyiv in May to perform his up-tempo track ‘I Feel Alive’.
