Who is Michael Schulte?
Michael Schulte is a German singer-songwriter, who lives in Dollerup, West Germany. He first came into the German spotlight when he placed third on season one of The Voice Germany in 2012. Since his appearance on The Voice Germany, Schulte has managed to score a record deal with Edel AG, an independent German label. This then led to the release of his debut album, ‘Wide Awake’, which was released the same year.
‘Wide Awake’ peaked at number fifty-four in the German albums chart and Schulte would then go on to release two other albums, neither of which have managed to match or surpass the success of his debut album. However, the German singer-songwriter has managed to come back in pure Eurovision fashion, with his entry becoming Germany’s representative entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
His Eurovision Song Contest entry, ‘You Let Me Walk Alone’, has so far managed to reach a peak of number twenty-eight in the German Singles Chart and is expected to climb even further as Eurovision is to go ahead next month.
