Born in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, Sabrina Ann Lynn Carpenter rose to fame by starring as the rebellious Maya Hart on Disney Channel’s hit series Girl Meets World. Since starting her acting career in 2011, she has also starred in numerous TV shows and movies, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Gulliver Quinn, and Adventures in Babysitting.
Having recorded songs for various soundtracks, including the theme song for Girl Meets World alongside co-star Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina released her single ‘Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying’ in 2014. She later unveiled her debut album, Eyes Wide Open, in April 2015 which included songs such as ‘We’ll Be The Stars’. The album allowed Sabrina to make her mark in the music industry and show off her talent and personality.
In 2016, she released her second album, EVOLution. The album includes ‘All We Have Is Love’, ‘On Purpose’ and her most recent offering, ‘Thumbs’. Staying true to its title, the record shows a growth and maturity in Sabrina’s sound, both vocally and through her songwriting.
2017 will see Sabrina Carpenter make her mark on an international level, kicking off with a support slot on the UK and Ireland leg of The Vamps’ world tour. She will also perform some of her own headline shows across Europe, before supporting Ariana Grande in Brazil. During the summer she will be heading out on tour again, with a string of Summer De-Tour dates with support from Alex Aiono and New Hope Club.
