Who is Zena?

Zinaida Alexandrovna Kupriyanovich, aka ZENA is a 16-year-old Belarusian singer, actress and television presenter who won Belarus’ national selection show for Eurovision, and will represent her country at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel with her song “Like It”.

Born in Minsk, she began performing as a young child and studied at a music school of arts. However, her musical career only began in 2013, when she took part in the contest New Wave Junior and in Junior Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk the next year. She has also competed twice in the Belarusian national final for Junior Eurovision Song Contest, placing fourth with “Mir” and then third with “Kosmos”. Her journey in Eurovision didn’t stop just then, because last year, she was one of the hosts of Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk.

As an actress, she has given her voice to Moana, the lead female character in the Russian version of the Disney movie of the same name, as well as in Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Zena’s birthday is on September 17, 2002.

What is her most popular song?

To date, her competing entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest “Like It” is Zena’s most popular number.

“Like It” was written and composed by Yulia Kireeva along with Viktor Drobysh who is known for composing the Russian Eurovision 2012 entry “Party for Everybody”.
