Former JLS star Aston Merrygold has announced that his partner Sarah Richards is expecting their first child.
Taking to social media, Aston posted a series of pictures which showed himself and Sarah sat around a table, with a reserved spot in the middle. Surrounded by pink and blue balloons, the pictures were captured “could be pink, could be blue, all we know is that we’re due!”

On Instagram, Aston further expanded his message, revealing that the couple found out their happy news at the end of May. Whilst the couple won’t be finding out the baby’s gender in advance, Aston adorably promised to be the best daddy to the baby before ending the post with numerous cute hashtags including #halfofmehalfofyou.
Sarah shared an equally precious post on Instagram which highlighted her joy over the news. She ended the post by counting down to the baby’s arrival, which is due in January 2018.
Aston is the final member of JLS to become a father. His fellow bandmates have four children between them: Oritsé Williams is a father to Omre, JB Gill is a father to Ace, and Marvin Humes has two girls called Alaia-Mai and Valentina.
Marvin and his wife Rochelle were some of the first people to share their congratulations on social media yesterday.

However, it was JB’s post which really pulled at the fans’ heartstrings as he shared how the four of them had grown from boys to men together, with the baby of the band now expecting the baby!
Alongside the exciting baby news, Aston will be kept on his toes in the coming months as he is one of the contestants on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. We have high hopes for Aston on the show, but we’ll have to wait until the show’s launch on September 9 to see how he does!
