CelebMix recently introduced you to the incredibly talented Astræa and she has gone on to release a poignant music video for her recent single ‘Anybody Out There.’
The powerful and emotional video is extremely touching. The music video correlates with the meaning behind the lyrics, querying whether there is somebody out there.
The ‘Anybody Out There’ music video features footage of a homeless man, with shots going back to when he was a young child, enjoying a happy childhood – a striking contrast.
When describing the meaning behind the video, the talented singer and song-writer explained:
“I want to draw attention to the isolation and loneliness that homeless people face. It’s often much easier to walk on past a homeless person than to face the fact that it could be any one of us in their position. Sometimes all it can take is the loss of a job, a divorce or family troubles to put someone at risk of homelessness.
Homeless people are also some of the most vulnerable in society, with higher rates of mental illness and substance abuse than in the general population. With homelessness rates and deaths of homeless people on the rise, I want to ask the question, isn’t anybody out there for them?”

Astræa is an established song-writer and producer, with her phenomenal versions of ‘Mad World’ and ‘You’re Not Alone’ used in Lloyds Bank adverts – both of which were tracks she arranged, produced and performed, highlighting her indescribable talent.
Explaining the meaning of ‘Anybody Out There,’ Astræa described the track as the following:
“‘Anybody Out There’ is about loneliness, something that every single person has experienced at some point in their lives. It’s part of the universal human experience, but it can be really harmful. Whether it’s friends, family or lovers, we need people in our lives to survive. Without these close relationships, we can experience a multitude of issues or mental health problems. This song for me was an expression of how I’ve felt alone at different points in my life and one that I hope can be there for someone who might be experiencing loneliness.”
Astræa will be performing at St James’ Church in Piccadilly, London, on March 21 2019. Tickets can be bought here.
