Showing the world how a comeback is done, Avril Lavigne has premiered the official video her empowering new single ‘Head Above Water’. The breathtaking visuals are spectacular!
Directed by Elliott Lester, the ‘Head Above Water’ video intertwines stunning clips of Avril wearing a white gown with ethereal scenic shots filmed in Iceland. The songstress can also be seen struggling whilst submerged in water which reflects her harrowing battle with Lyme disease.

Premiering the official video on her birthday earlier this week, Avril Lavigne said: “It makes my heart so unbelievably full to premiere the #HeadAboveWater music video for you all today, on my birthday. From the very first day I started writing this song, I have been inspired and gathering visuals and imagining what the music video could look like.”
‘Head Above Water’ is currently available here on iTunes and here on Spotify. Since its release, the power ballad has enjoyed huge levels of success and it even stormed straight to number one on the worldwide iTunes chart. The single has rightfully been met with widespread critical acclaim.
