    *SPOILER ALERT*

As some of you may already know, Monday night marked the finale to season 12 of The Bachelorette. It was undoubtedly a crazy ride for Jojo Fletcher, but even after all the chaos, she was able to find her happy ending.

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 2

This season of Bachelorette was certainly not a breeze. When you put an Erectile Dysfunction Specialist and the The Big Bad Chad together, what do you expect as an outcome? A lot of meat sandwiches and Evan’s ripped red shirt. But despite the mayhem that was (more often than not) caused by Chad Johnson, we continued to follow Jojo all the way to her final rose ceremony in Thailand.

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 1

Before we journeyed to Thailand however, let us take a moment of silence for the devastation that struck across America when Jojo sent both Luke Pell and Chase McNary home. Not only did it come as a bit of a surprise – especially after the incredible dates they shared between Jojo and their own families, but simply because… well… we’re talking about Luke AND Chase! Two of the most perfect guys; for Jojo and just in general, really.

But for as hard as that decision was for Jojo, her final two contestants came down to professional swimmer Robby Hayes and the ever so dreamy Jordan Rodgers. If you ask us, that still remains as an incredibly hard decision… so how could we possibly blame the poor girl for crying so much? After all, it’s not like they both enjoy wearing skinny jeans and using loads of hair product.

    Moving on…

The beginning of the episode takes place with Jojo and her family where she begins to explain her strong love for both Jordan and Robby, and inner struggle on who would be her best future fit.

After meeting Jordan, Jojo’s mom expresses her concern for Jordan being the one to break her daughter’s heart. But considering we went through weeks and weeks of this, it was no surprise when Jojo came to Jordan’s defense and told her mom not to worry about him. Probably because she worries about him enough as it is. Jojo’s mom however, took the opportunity to pull Jordan aside to personally explain her concerns. Again, she was reassured by Jordan that Jojo is his best friend and that he would never consider doing such a thing.

He then moves along to a quick one on one with Dr. Fletcher. But instead of wondering how he should ask for Jojo’s hand in marriage, he reminds himself that Robby is still in the picture; therefore dodging a very important bullet… that should NEVER be done over the phone.

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 2

When it was Robby’s turn to meet Jojo’s family, the atmosphere was noticeably different. Both of Jojo’s parents as well as her very sedated brothers, all got along great with Robby. They voiced their opinions on how he was respectful, kind, and caring. But the biggest catch of all was when he asked both Jojo’s mother and father for her hand in marriage… IN PERSON. Imagine that!

Following Robby’s beautifully worded asking, an emotional father finds his daughter to explain that her deal should be sealed – just like that. Does he even know who his daughter is? And does he recognize that Robby isn’t Jordan?

After Robby leaves the Fletcher household, Jojo asks for her family’s opinion now having met both men. In hopes they would all be team Jordan, Jojo’s facial expression portrayed a sense of disappointment when finding out they were more team Robby. “The fact that she keeps wanting to defend Jordan probably means that deep down, she wants to end up with Jordan”, having said by one brother. Funny how fast her family catches onto the whole Jordan obsession, eh?

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 3

Next up, we have the final one on one dates. Robby and Jojo spend a gorgeous day on the beach where they swam about in the ocean and picnicked in the sand. No, his hair didn’t move an ounce out of place… not even after it got wet. What’s up with that?

“I see us sitting on a comfortable sofa while dinner burns in the oven. Our dog would join us on the couch and there’d be faint noises of kids in the background.”

We’d totally be okay with a future like that, Robby.

During the evening portion of their date, Jojo pays a visit to Robby’s hotel room where he proceeds to present her with a beautiful collection of photos from their shared time together. One specifically sticks out to Jojo, claiming that it was the moment “fireworks went off in each other’s hearts”. Robby then reassures Jojo that his love for her is real and will never fade away – and in that moment, she knows she can accept his proposal without a shout of a doubt.

    But was it enough?

For Jordan’s one on one, the two kayak away to another private beach where Jojo confronts him about his lack of getting her parents blessing. He doesn’t say much but somehow manages to talk a lot… in circles, more or less. He claims that because he doesn’t know exactly where Jojo stands, he was deterred from having the conversation; and when asked if not having her parents blessing would affect his proposal, his answer consisted of his usual “I don’t know”. But then a minute later he turns around and promises that if it was up to him, he’d be down on one knee. Huh? My brain hurts.

The night following, Jojo is back at square one – doubting Jordan’s intentions and true feelings. As she tries to pull teeth, Jordan repeats what he told her earlier. When Jojo realizes she’s not getting much more out of him, she lets it go and calls it a night.

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 4

At this point you’re probably confident in who Jojo picks, but let us just say that it’s 100% not what you think.

On the day of the final rose ceremony, Joelle Hannah Fletcher wakes up with more clarity than ever. She reads both letters from her desired men – already knowing in her heart who she is choosing to spend life with. It has been said that whoever is the first final contestant to go, is the one who goes home. We never bothered to believe in such a crazy myth… until we spotted Robby’s hot pink patterned socks step out of his black SUV.

Feeling confident in what he claimed to be “flawless love” for Jojo, she stops him mid-proposal; I can’t let you get down on one knee. I don’t want to take that moment from you. I woke up this morning wanting it to be you. Every day I’ve wanted it to be you. I fell in love with you, but for some reason, my heart is somewhere else.

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 5

    We were disappointed too, Robby.

After his departure, Jojo can’t seem to stop crying… until the second she remembers Jordan is on his way and will be here shortly. No, seriously. She was mid-sentence tears streaming down her face when she goes “I’m ready! I am so ready!” Well that was quick.

“You challenge me to be the best version of myself. I’m so unbelievably in love with you and I promise, to wake up every morning and choose you over and over again until you tell me I can’t.”

Before he can continue, Jojo interjects by telling him she loves him; I’ve been waiting to tell you that I love you. And with that, Jordan proceeds to get down on one knee.

The Bachelorette Season 12 Finale - Recap 5

Even though we probably would’ve gone a different route, all of us here at CelebMix wish nothing but the best for the future Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Rodgers!
