BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge month returns this November and from the stellar line up announced today, we’re in for a huge treat.
If you’ve been living under a rock and are unfamiliar with the Live Lounge concept, it’s straightforward yet complete genius. Artists are invited to perform their most recent single in addition to a special cover by another artist of their choice.
Over the years we’ve seen Harry Styles cover Fleetwood Mac, Demi Lovato take on Hozier, Ed Sheeran performing a Little Mix bop, and many more insane covers which have blown our minds. November sees the return of Live Lounge month, with 17 incredible performances to look forward to from some of the industry’s most sought after artists.
Kicking off the month on Thursday November 1 will be Twenty One Pilots, who recently released their new album Trench. Other artists scheduled to perform include Marshmello and Bastille, Jess Glynne, Rita Ora, Jax Jones, and The 1975.
Both Zara Larsson and Ellie Goulding are also due to perform, and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the talented songstresses will be coming armed with new material for our enjoyment. Rounding off the month are Mumford and Sons who will be performing with a special Live Lounge Symphony.

Radio 1’s Live Lounge sessions will be hosted by Clara Amfo. Speaking about the exciting news, she said: “November is the time, back for another year with all of the artists our listeners stay loving! Whether returning to the Live Lounge or making their debut performance, it’s set to be another special month.”

The Live Lounge sessions will be broadcast on Radio 1 between 10am and 1pm every Monday to Thursday throughout November. Performances will also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
