Melancholic. Reflective. Sincere. Those are three words that we’d use to describe Ben Haenow’s sensational new single ‘Falling Down’.
With his latest release, Ben reflects on moments of darkness by using the weather as a symbol. It’s not all doom and gloom though. The much-loved singer highlights the power of companionship.
When you endure hard times, it’s not always easy to stay positive but simply having the right person around can help you overcome any adversities. They can provide you shelter from the storm.
Explaining the inspiration for his new single, Ben Haenow said: “The song is loosely about my experience of The X Factor and the rise and fall of life after the show. It’s about that feeling of everything falling apart in your hands. I guess it was kind of a song about losing faith and not really knowing who you are or what your next move should be.
“Everyone has that one person you run to who doesn’t judge you when things go wrong and you just want to hide away but it seems you may even be losing that person too. I would say it was one of the songs I wrote at a time when I felt a little lost and disheartened with it all.”
‘Falling Down’ is currently available here on iTunes and here on Spotify. Ben co-wrote the pensive track with his brother Alex and it serves as his fourth independent single. It follows: ‘Alive’, ‘Forgive & Forget’ and ‘Rising’. All four tracks will feature on Ben’s forthcoming second album.
