When it comes to sublime vocals and natural musical talent, Ben Haenow has no need to be a ‘Jealous Guy’ because he really is top of the league!
The 33-year-old singer, who recently completed his Rising Tour, has uploaded a new cover of John Lennon’s ‘Jealous Guy’ and it’s every bit of perfect.
Haenow fans may remember that Ben sung the timeless classic on the second live show of The X Factor in 2014. His sultry performance impressed viewers and helped him win the competition.
Now, over three years later, Ben has further perfected the song. For his new rendition of the track, Ben has joined forces with: guitarist Alex Haenow, drummer Tommy Sugar and bassist Tiago Dias.
Sharing the cover online last Friday, Ben Haenow said: “Hey All! Sooo Friday is the best day.. it makes all the other days jealous xx so here’s a song for Friday!! A little cover me and the boys Alex Haenow, Tom Boyce & Tiago Dias did of a John Lennon classic #JealousGuy… hope you like it xx”
Throughout his career, Ben has put his own unique spin on a wide variety of songs. Just last month, he recorded flawless versions of Tracy Chapman’s ‘Give Me One Reason’ and ‘Stay With You’ by John Legend. You can view Ben’s latest covers here on YouTube.
We may only be in February but we already know that 2018 is going to be a huge year for Ben Haenow. The gifted vocalist is currently putting the final touches on his sophomore album and he also plans to embark on a fourth headline tour later this year.
