With a glorious new single to his name, Ben Haenow has proven to the world that he’s still ‘Rising’ and he ain’t ever coming down!
For his third independent release, the charming X Factor winner has written a heartfelt ballad about the love of his life. ‘Rising’ is an open letter to his wife Jessica and it seriously couldn’t be more special for the newlywed couple.
At its very core, ‘Rising’ is about the power of unity. While remaining personal to Ben, the song’s affectionate lyrics are open to interpretation and they can be applied to both friendships and relationships.
Speaking to us exclusively earlier this year, Ben Haenow said: “As cheesy and stupid as it sounds, ‘Rising’ was written from my heart. To get to write something about someone who’s really just kept me strong through everything; really, genuinely, when all the shit hits the fan and you’re getting negative comments in the press. To be able to go back to somebody and just be in a complete bubble, and be surrounded by them and not feel any different to the person who started years ago, really for me.. that’s kind of what made that song special to me.”
‘Rising’ is available here on iTunes and here on other digital media platforms. It follows Ben’s gold-certified debut album and his previous independent releases: ‘Alive‘ and ‘Forgive & Forget‘. More original songs and a second album are set for release early next year so keep your eyes peeled for those.
After marrying Jess in July, the release of ‘Rising’ couldn’t be a more fitting way for Ben to end 2017. With Christmas fast approaching, loved ones all over the world will be getting together so Ben’s new single really is perfect for the festive season.
