Swedish pop prince Benjamin Ingrosso makes a conscious effort to look on the brighter side of life with the release of his brand new single ‘Better Days’.
Penned by Benjamin along with Salem Al-Fakir and Vincent Pontare, and produced by Vargas & Lagola (Avicii, Madonna, Sia, A$AP Rocky, Lady Gaga), the uplifting track serves as the latest cut to be lifted off of the singers upcoming studio album which is set to drop later in the year.
“‘Better Days’ is about hope, youthful naivety, and longing for things to get better,” Ingrosso says of the single. “It somewhat describes my personality – to always want to see the positive and believe that everything will get better. I’ve been holding on to this song for almost 4 years, but all the upcoming songs very much describe my current state of mind, the pursuit of a happy life well spent. I want to spread love.”
Explaining the evolution of his sound, the ‘Kite’ singer adds: “In the new music, the rawness and dirt of punk has been given more space, and I have consciously chosen not to have a more polished and ‘modern’ sound.”
“‘Timelessness’ is a key word for everything I’ve tried to create now. The lyrics are more straightforward, written from personal experiences but sometimes with a broader perspective. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about my music as I am with this song, and all the new music you’re going to get from me this year.”
