In a months time (13th July) The Vamps are set to release their Night & Day (Day Edition) album. The second track to be taken from this album, Just My Type has been teased for release on Friday. We thought this would be the perfect time to look back on The Vamps recently finished Night & Day UK and European tour. Here are five of our favourite parts of the tour….
New Unreleased Songs
Would it be a Vamps tour without some new material? Fans were treated to catchy soon to be released track Just My Type. We can’t wait to hear the studio version and even more new material when Night & Day (Day Edition) is released next month!
The Support Acts
Across the UK fans were treated to sets from :PM, HRVY and Jacob Sartorius. Whilst Maggie Lindemann also made a mid-set appearance. In Europe Idolising Nova supported The Vamps for three of their shows (Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne). We loved getting warm up for the main event with these sets and they started off our Night & Day experience perfectly!
Their Manchester Tribute
At the quartet’s Manchester show one of the most powerful and special moments of the tour took place. Nearly a year on from the heartbreaking event of the Manchester terror attack, The Vamps spoke out in support of the ‘Incredible city which has so much strength and resilience and love‘. Their beautiful cover of One Last Time moved many to tears with fans who had experienced the attack present at the show. A powerful and extremely respected, moving gesture.
Jonnor Duet
In both the UK and Europe fans were treated to an acoustic track from James and Connor. At the UK shows this section was chosen from a Twitter poll with tracks including Golden, Risk It All and Girls On TV being showcased. We mean every fan wants to have some input in their favourite band’s setlist and The Vamps let this happen. In Europe, fans got treated to a mashup of Talk Shows and I Love Loving You, taken from their All Night EP and James’ individual version of Night & Day (Night Edition).
Meet The Vamps Celebrated Its Birthday!
On the first date of the tour in Sheffield, The Vamps debut album Meet The Vamps turned four years old. This album for many fans at the show started off their love for the quartet and kicked off The Vamps long and exciting career in style. The setlist featured fan favourites from this much-loved album including Wild Heart and Can We Dance which to this day get everyone up on their feet. Now we’re gearing up for the release of their fourth album!
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Friday as it appears a Just My Type studio version will be available sooner rather than later. We know a lot of fans who attended the tour fell in love with the track and will share our excitement at this news!
