The 2016 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, formally known as the Met Gala, is a black-tie affair held on the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute; the only Met department that has to fund itself. Every year the Met Gala has a theme that the guests are encouraged to follow and this year it was: “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” The theme follows what the guests of the gala design their looks after, and these are the styles that we believe were the highlight of the night:
