As most of you may know, Beyoncé’s The Formation World Tour kicked off not too long ago – and while she’s been busy traveling around the world doing what she does best, she managed to take time and pay a wonderful tribute to the forever legendary, Prince.
At the very start of her tour, the singer briefly hosted a quick tribute to Prince while having the crowd sing along to “Purple Rain”. Simultaneously, her stage proceeded to change to the color purple. But this time around, evidentially, her tribute was based on more of a personal level.

During her show in Dallas, TX that took place Monday night, the crowd was caught off guard as Beyoncé presented an exceptional rendition of “The Beautiful Ones”. The Single Ladies singer performed the entirety of the song while on her knees in the middle of her purple set stage – assumably leading 80,000 of her fans in a river of tears. (We certainly were drowning).
The last time we heard Beyoncé cover that song, was back in 2011 at the Glastonbury Festival; intermixing with (one of our favorites) Sex On Fire by King’s Of Leon.
And of course, we can’t forget to include the very first time Beyoncé and Prince ever collaborated; during The Grammys in 2004 where they performed a mash up of Crazy In Love and Purple Rain. 
Along with the rest of the world, we still remain in a state of shock at Prince’s death; but at least there is comfort in knowing his soul will live on forever. Whether it’d be through music, or through everyone he has ever crossed paths with… he is with us. Always.
