If this isn’t a fangirl fantasy come true, then what is?! Just a few months after Billie Eilish finally met her “first love” and musical inspiration, Justin Bieber, at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April during Ariana Grande’s headlining set, the duo unveiled a new remix of the 17-year-old singer-songwriter’s iconic smash hit, “Bad Guy.”
The hype started after Justin teased a forthcoming remix on his Twitter account last Monday when he simply tweeted the word “REMIX”, which was liked and retweeted by Finneas O’Connell, Billie’s older brother, and producer/co-writer. After that, Bieber’s fans flooded Twitter with their thoughts and expectations and started speculating about the much-anticipated upcoming collaboration between the two of them. Now, it’s finally revealed that the pop superstar teamed up with Billie for a new version of her already hit single, “Bad Guy” turning this into a high-wattage collaboration.
This brand new version of “Bad Guy” features an updated second verse from Justin, as he whispers the lyrics- “Gold teeth, my neck, my wrist is frozen/ I got more ice than, than the snow/ That guy, don’t act like you don’t know/ That guy, so critical (skrrt).” The official audio has been uploaded to Billie’s official YouTube channel. The single artwork features a throwback cute photograph of a pre-teen Billie Eilish in a dancing costume and surrounded by posters of pop superstar Justin on her bedroom walls.
It’s no secret that Billie has long been an outspoken fan of Justin Bieber. She has also posted photos of the two of them after they met at the Coachella festival earlier this year in April. Earlier, she also revealed in an interview that earlier this year, the pop star had DM’d her to discuss working together in future. So, after stanning his idol for such a long time, the 17-year-old has finally fulfilled her dream of collaborating with him and basically lived every single fan’s dream. The track “Bad Guy” is featured on Billie Eilish’s debut album titled, ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart upon its release.
Billie Eilish is now on tour for most of the rest of the year 2019 and is playing a three-night stand this week in Los Angeles.
