There has been some wonderful news at the Olympics. Rugby player Isadora Cerullo has gotten engaged to her long term girlfriend, Majorie Enya!
Cerullo was facing some disappointment on Monday night after the Brazilian women’s rugby team came in ninth place for the first showing of the sport.
But the mood changed when Cerullo’s girlfriend came onto the field and delivered a poignant speech before proposing to the love of her life.
“As soon as I knew she was in the squad, I thought I have to make this special,” Marjorie said.
“I know rugby people are amazing and they would embrace it.”
This public proposal was extremely nerve-wracking for Marjorie but she was ready to cement their future together, calling Creullo “the love of my life.”
The couple have been together for two years and live in Sao Paolo together.
Cerullo recently moved to Brazil to prepare for the Olympics.
“The Olympic Games can look like closure but, for me, it’s starting a new life with someone,” Marjorie added.
“I wanted to show people that love wins.”
Love definitely wins.
