At the beginning of the track, there is a fantastic guitar solo. A few seconds later, Brendan’s vocals accompany the track. His vocals have always been impressive, however, his debut single truly provides him with the platform to showcase his breathtaking vocals.

‘Way Too Fast’ is extremely up-tempo and follows the story of a relationship happening too fast, as the name suggests.

‘It feels like yesterday I only learned your name.’

Brendan Murray is best known for being a member of Irish boy band phenomenon HomeTown – with other members Josh Gray, Ryan McLoughlin, Dayl Cronin, Dean Gibbons and Cian Morrin – who had particular chart success in Ireland. Some of their achievements include their release of an album, along with several singles and supporting The Vamps on their 2016 UK and Ireland Arena Tour.

After a successful time as a band together, they disbanded at the end of 2016, making the decision to focus on their own solo ventures.

In 2017, Brendan was given the opportunity to represent Ireland in the famous Eurovision Song Contest. He performed the song ‘Dying To Try’ and his performance can be watched below:

First announcing news of the track on June 7 on his Instagram account, Brendan said:

‘It’s been a quiet year for me since I took part in Eurovision in 2017, but I’m looking forward to showing you all what I’ve been working on these last few months.’

Now with his own debut single released, this is no doubt the beginning of a brand new chapter for the talented singer and song-writer!
