English rock outfit Editors have announced details of a 6-date tour of the UK for February and March this year!
Scheduled to kick off in Newcastle on Monday, February 26th, the mini jaunt will see the group play shows in Leeds, Liverpool, Bath and Birmingham, before wrapping up proceedings in Southhampton on Sunday, March 3rd.
Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
As well as celebrating their epic back catalogue, the gigs will see the six-piece collective play tracks from their acclaimed seventh studio album ‘EBM’.
Featuring the singles ‘Heart Attack’, ‘Karma Climb’, ‘Kiss’, and ‘Vibe’, the record serves as the groups first major release with with latest band member Benjamin John Power – aka Ivor Novello winning producer and composer Blanck Mass – and contains some of their most leftfield material yet.
Described as a “thrilling, unrelenting thrust of full-bodied electro-industrial rock”, the albums title is an acronym of Editors and Blanck Mass, but also a knowing reference to Electronic Body Music – the potent sound that originated in the 1980s, which has hugely influenced Editors’ new sound.
Debuting at no.10 on the Official UK Album Chart, the record received positive reviews from critics who praised the band for courageously broadening their musical horizons in such a bold and daring way, two decades into their illustrious career.
