In their biggest US magazine cover to date, global sensation BTS grace the iconic Paper Magazine cover.

In the December issue of the magazine, the seven-piece collaborate with the ’80s and ’90s icon Lisa Frank for their ‘Break The Internet’ and the internet truly has gone wild.

Alongside the eye-catching cover shoot, Paper Magazine sat down in one of their best interviews to date, discussing their diverse music catalogue and the pressures of being one of the biggest artists on the planet.

Discussing the global pressure and strive to appear perfect, member V stated “I feel the pressure of showing a performance that is close to perfection, but I also think that being natural is important, too. ” While J-Hope furthered V’s comment adding, “I can’t say we don’t. These days, I feel like I live with a sense of mission. Rather than thinking, “It has to be perfect!,” I do what I have to do, making sure I remember the really important and fundamental things and trust that the results will follow.”

Within the Korean pop (K-POP) industry, challenging different musical genres and concepts is a big part in the appeal to these groups, as you are very often likely to find at least one song that appeals to you. BTS has been a group who within their last full-length album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ (which charted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200) tackled EDM, trap, hip-hop, R’n’B and of course, classic pop. While it seems they have covered every concept possible, they admit there is still a lot left to explore. In particular, Jin would like to try a real rock track.

BTS and Lisa Frank both stand for empowering the youth of today through creativity and expressing oneself as best as you can. You can read the full interview with Paper Magazine here as well as order your very own copy of an iconic collaboration.
