Just hours before they make their comeback with their album Love Yourself: Answer, BTS has dropped the music video teaser for their next single, titled “IDOL.”
Earlier this week, the group released the tracklist for their album, but did not reveal which of the songs would be the title track. Now, they surprised fans not only by revealing the single, but also giving fans a sneak peak of its music video.
The video is reminiscent of the guys’ music video for “DNA” since it has the same intense hues and color scheme. The 41-second clip also shows the seven members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook – in a mix of traditional and modern clothes. Judging from the snippet of “IDOL” that we hear in the video, it seems that the track will also be a fusion of traditional South Korean sounds and modern hip hop. BTS went for a similar traditional concept when they released their song, “Ddaeng.”

BTS will drop their repacked album for Love Yourself: Answer on Friday, August 24th. They will perform the songs live on their Love Yourself tour, and will also promote them briefly on music shows.
