    BTS and Little Mix win big at Radio 1’s Teen Awards

    BTS and Little Mix were the big winners at this year’s Radio 1’s Teen Awards, which just took place at London’s Wembley Arena.

    Continuing their worldwide domination, BTS took home two awards: Best International Group and Social Media Star. Whilst the seven-piece group were unable to attend the ceremony, they shared an acceptance speech via a video link which was broadcast to the audience.

    Little Mix won Best British Group for the second year in a row and thanked their Mixers for being so loyal, stating: “You guys are just the best fans in the world and thanks so much for the support you’ve given us over the last seven years”. Leigh-Anne, Jesy, Perrie and Jade also delivered an incredible performance, including the first live outing for their new single ‘Woman Like Me’.

    Best Film went to the global phenomenon The Greatest Showman, whilst Love Island was named Best TV Show for the second year in a row. Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes were named Best British and Best International Solo Artist respectively.

    Throughout the ceremony, a number of Teen Heroes were also celebrated and awarded their prizes on stage. Earlier in the week, the Teen Heroes were invited to Kensington Palace to meet The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to speak about their achievements.

    During the ceremony, there were also performances from 5 Seconds of Summer, Jonas Blue, Liam Payne, Lennon Stella, Jack & Jack, HRVY, Sigrid, and Not3s and Mabel.
