BTS has announced another ‘Love Yourself‘ tour stop, and this time it’s in the Big Apple!

On August 8, BTS revealed that they will be performing at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets, on Saturday, October 6th. The new tour stop will not only mark the group’s first stadium show in the United States, but also the first for any Korean act overall.

The announcement comes after the group sold out the rest of their ‘Love Yourself’ tour stops, including shows at the Staples Center, Prudential Center and Oracle Arena. Although BTS booked two nights at the Prudential Center, which is located an hour away from Citi Field, many fans online expressed their disappointment from not being able to get tickets for either night. Having a capacity of 40,00, BTS’ upcoming show at Citi Field will be sure to satisfy many East Coast fans.

BTS’ popularity in the States has been growing ever since the group won Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Since then, they performed live for the very first time on U.S. television at the 2017 American Music Awards, and most recently, took the stage at this year’s BBMAs, where they also won Top Social Artist for the second year in a row.

When asked about what he would like to accomplish next, BTS’ Suga revealed that he would like to go on a stadium tour. “Always thought that ‘stadium tour’ is only for a very few artists,” he told MBC NEWS. “But now I think we are very close to it. I believe dreams do come true.”

And now they have, as BTS will perform their first stadium show in the United States!

Tickets for BTS’ Citi Field concert will go on sale on Friday, August 17th at 4PM EST, a week before the group releases their new album, Love Yourself: Answer, on August 24th. According to tour promoter Powehouse Live, more information about the group’s show at Citi Field, including the seating chart and prices, will be released soon.
