The release of BTS’ “Mic Drop” collaboration with DJ Steve Aoki and rapper Desiigner has been pushed back. Instead of releasing on November 17th, the remix is now scheduled to release a week later on November 24th. The group’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, confirmed the change through a NAVER article, which it shared on social media.

BTS announced the collaboration with Steve Aoki and Desiigner last week, stating that the three will work on a remix for fan-favorite hip hop track “Mic Drop,” from BTS’ latest album Love Yourself: Her. The group’s agency explained that the surprise remix is a gift to BTS’ fans, the ARMYs, for all their support since the release of the album.
Following the news of the remix’s postponement, Big Hit Entertainment released the following statement: “At the request of our American partners, we re-discussed the release date of the remix song and decided that it would be better to release the track after the promotional period of visiting the American Music Awards.”
BTS is scheduled to make their U.S. television debut at the 2017 American Music Awards on November 19th, where they will perform their hit single “DNA.”
While they are in the United States, the group will also be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
