BTS release cinematic music video for ‘ON’

After releasing their Kinetic Manifesto Film a week ago, BTS have unveiled their mini motion picture music video for ‘ON’.

In an official press release, it was stated that “The video symbolically depicts BTS’ vow to accept their predestined path as fate and to keep going on, no matter the obstacles.”

Directed by long term collaborator Lumpens, the 5-minute long video is overflowing with so many cinematic references. With images symbolic of Bird Box, The Maze Runner and an opening scene that looks straight out of Game of Thrones, this is the best BTS music video since their Most Beautiful Moment in Life era.

ON is taken from their fourth full-length album Map of the Soul: 7, which has already sold 3 million copies worldwide and outsold all of BTS’ 2019 album sales. In the West, the band are headed for their highest first-week album sales in both the US and UK, while lead single ON is also predicted to debut in the Top 15 of both countries.
