BTS has signed a new record deal with Def Jam Records in Japan. The boys have now become labelmates of singers like Justin Bieber and Rihanna, who too have recording deals with the same label.
On 24th March, the label made the following statement:
“We are thrilled to welcome BTS to the Def Jam family. It’s remarkable how they have established a strong career in such a short period of time, and we wish them more successes in the years to come”.
BTS will also be releasing a new single in May. As reported by PopCrush,
“Not only that, but the group will release new (well, old but new) material later this spring with the Japanese version of their hit “Blood, Sweat & Tears” on May 10”.
The release date for the new single coincides with group’s presence in Japan for their The Wings Tour. Their Japan tour will begin in Osaka on May 30, 2017.
The group is on its North American leg of 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour. Recently, the boys did an interview with iHeartRadio and Billboard in an attempt to interact with their International fans.
The record deal is a huge achievement for BTS. They are growing and deservedly so.
