BTS’ V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, has been named Starmometer’s Ultimate Asian Heartthrob of 2019. This is the second time the star has won the honor. Last year, he was crowned the Ultimate Asian Heartthrob of 2018.
Each year, entertainment blog Starmometer runs a competition to determine the top 100 “good-looking, charismatic, and influential male celebrities across the Asian continent.” To determine which celebrities make the list, Starmometer asks fans from around the world to vote for their favorite Asian celebrities on Twitter and Instagram.
As of February 19, 2019, Kim Taehyung ranked first with 1,815,158 votes. BTS member Jeon Jungkook ranked second with 1,511,874 votes, while Jin came in fifth with 658,036 votes. Jimin also placed on the top 100 list, coming in at number 28. You can see all 100 celebrities who made the list in the video below.
As well as being named the Ultimate Asian Heartthrob of 2019, Kim Taehyung was also recently named the fifth Most Handsome Face in the World by TC Candler. Aquaman‘s Jason Mamoa ranked first.
