They’re the five-piece group that are switching up British music as we know it, managing to bring something completely new to the industry, and this week they’ve dropped a brand new single. “Vampire” is the follow-up single to their “Viral EP” which they released mid-2017.
The song is the first single from their upcoming third EP, which shares the same name. The group consists of Dylan Elliott, Stan Hill, Live Lans, Rob da Bass, and Bacary Bax. Their music continues to take them places, from headlining BBC Radio 1’s Academy in Hull, to receiving constant radio play from all over including BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6. They have also supported The Wailers. They are definitely ones to watch out for.
“Vampire” was written by Bud Sugar, and musically composed by themselves, too. It was mixed and mastered by Live Lans and Peter Maher; whilst the music video was directed by We Made This with additional visuals by Octovision Media. This is a very catchy song with an interesting music video, that’s for sure.

The song is beyond addicting, “Vampire” tells the story of their lifestyle of a DIY band who crash out during late nights at the studio. We have to admit that we admire their focused energy and determinability to make this into a career, and they are definitely heading in the right direction, completely. Hard work really pays off even if it does turn you all into zombies, or vampires in this case.
“Vampire” has catchy lyrics that will have you singing along by the time you’re half-way through the first listen. It’s groovy, honest, and oh-so-real allowing every listener to connect and understand. It’s impressive work, with the music full of various vibes that definitely twists up music as a whole. If broken apart and scrutinised, you will discover that Bud Sugar sure knows how to combine various genres to create a vibe like no other; one that will definitely pave their way to a very bright future.
As for the music video, it’s haunting and engaging. The square-film box certainly takes us back to the old-school vampire films from the past. Add in the blood-red filter, and you’ve got this blood-boiled performance piece; which definitely accompanies the song well.
“Vampire” by Bud Sugar is available to download and stream right now. We certainly are addicted to their music and this track. We cannot wait for “Vampire EP” to be released.
