Five-piece group, Bud Sugar, has released the music video for the fan-favourite song “Viral”. The visual has been created by the group themselves, showcasing their video editing skills and their determination to make it work. We are sure they’ll go viral if they keep doing what they’re doing.
This song is one of three awesome tracks that can be found on Bud Sugar’s “Viral” EP. The other songs available on their EP are “What Ya Sayin'” and “WE”. This lead and title track has a tongue-in-cheek style to it that we simply adore. It’s great that they have used that style and transformed it into this defining music video.
They have used 25 iconic viral moments and hijacked them for the video. There are plenty of recognisable scenes from recent years. Officially it was produced by ‘We Made This’; directed, filmed, and edited by Bud Sugar group members Bacary Bax and Stan Hill.

The video kicks in from the very first second. It reminds us of the face-swap filter found on Snapchat. Bud Sugar has imported their faces onto the heads of viral stars creating this comical “Viral” music video that we can’t unsee – much like the actual videos that went viral.
It’s clear that a whole lot of effort was put into this, and it has clearly paid off in every way. Technically brilliant, this music video needs to go viral itself. It relates well to the song, with the band members singing the lyrics throughout the visual, all the while acting out the expressions needed for the particular scenes.
The ending scene is them creating this music video, and their delight once it was completed. This visual is class in every way. As for the song, it is a total grower that expands into a tune after a couple of listens. It is available to download and stream on all platforms.
