We have all been patiently waiting for Fifth Harmony to finally announce the arrival of their much anticipated, second album and sadly it seems like we’re going to have be patient for a little while longer. In the meantime, the lovely Camila Cabello has once again blessed the world with a cover of one of our favourite songs. This time it’s ‘Love Yourself’ by Justin Bieber. If that wasn’t already amazing news by itself, there’s more!
The Fifth Harmony singer didn’t just do a simple cover, she actually added a whole new bridge to the song while also playing the guitar! Combining a new melody and some incredibly emotional, honest lyrics, we think it brings a completely new level of depth to the song.
playing around #2. lol, i came up with this lil bridge part for fun pic.twitter.com/aBVWyidLuX

” Tried to make me insecure, tried to break me maybe cause you couldn’t love yourself, love yourself. But your poison was the cure and by accident you showed me how to love myself, love myself.”
She seems to have been inspired by the online negativity she has unfortunately been having to deal with over the last couple of months. But rather than let it get to her, Camila has handled everything with a kindness and grace that we can only applaud.
She has been channeling all of her emotions into her music and songwriting and we couldn’t be happier about that! Between people hacking her and spreading hateful rumours, things have certainly not been easy recently for the sweet Latina, but Camila is leading by example and showing that even though we all go through difficult times and sometimes all we want to do is drown in our sorrows, we can find strength by not allowing it to take over our life and maybe even something beautiful can be created from it.
Clearly Cabello is not only a very talented singer but a maybe even more talented songwriter, as her hit single with Canadian singer Shawn Mendes “I Know What You Did Last Summer” has also proven.
Since she is also tirelessly working on improving her guitar skills (which are looking to be already AMAZING), this triple-threat seems unstoppable in her quest to continuously grow and master her craft.
If she keeps going like that, we can already tell that there are absolutely incredible things in store for this little lady and for Fifth Harmony so watch out everyone!
