In case having one of the catchiest songs of all time, reaching the top of practically every chart, and breaking one record with it wasn’t enough, Camila Cabello has now gone one step further and taken her previous hit, “Havana,” to even higher heights… By breaking a second record with it!
That’s right… “Havana,” is now officially Spotify’s Most Streamed Song Ever by a Solo Female Artist.
Oh, and Camila is also the first solo Latina female to hold the title. Talk about slaying it!
The brunette beauty now officially holds the record in question after her song passed the 888 million streams mark which had been previously held down by Sia’s own worldwide smash, “Cheap Thrills”.
Since it’s release in September 2017, “Havana,” has reached the top spot on the charts globally. It first hit number one back in November, then went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 in January.
The song also topped the Pop Songs chart when it was number one for seven weeks, the Streaming Songs chart, the Adult Top 40 chart, the Rhythmic Top 40 chart, and the Radio Songs chart before it reigned the Digital Songs Chart for another two weeks.
Impressive, huh? But for such a super catchy smash that we still play on a daily basis months after its release, we’re hardly surprised that it’s doing so well and is smashing records left, right and centre.
Here’s hoping that Camila’s next single will have the same success. Or maybe it will be her fiery new collaboration with Pharrell Williams that hits the top of the charts and breaks another record?
Who knows, but we think everyone will agree that Camila Cabello is a force to be reckoned with and we can’t wait to see which exciting career milestones she reaches next!
