Camila Cabello recently announced on her Twitter and Instagram that she will be the newest ambassador for Save the Children.
She went on to express how grateful she was for the opportunity. She wrote in an emotional post on social media, “I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be working with @SaveTheChildren as their newest ambassador!!!!!!! Anyone who knows me knows how much I treasure kids and the responsibility I feel to set a good example for them.”
The “Havana” singer visited Puerto Rico last month, where she had her first ever concert on the island and visited children who were affected by Hurricane Maria. She visited Save the Children’s programs in the regions of Las Piedras and Yabucoa. Cabello told Save the Children, “Save the Children is committed to making sure that every child has the best chance for success, whether it’s giving them an education or protecting them during emergencies.”
She continued: “I am so connected with their mission and I’m incredibly honored to be named an ambassador for the organization.”
Save the Children President and CEO Carolyn Miles said, “Camila has shown unwavering support in our work to reach every last child. We are grateful for all she has done to call attention to the issues children face globally.”
