Breakout Year, Breakout Star
2018 has been an unbelievably successful year for Camila Cabello following the release of her debut solo album ‘Camila’ back in January.
The record debuted at Number 1 on The Billboard Top 200 earning 119,000 album-equivalent units, with 65,000 coming from pure album sales, making her the youngest artist to top the chart with a debut album since Shawn Mendes’ 2015 debut ‘Handwritten’.
From there it’s been a year of non-stop promotion, touring, festival performances and award show appearances for the former Fifth Harmony star, who will quite rightly now enjoy some downtime over the holiday season.
