Caroline Polachek embarks on a journey across the seas in the music video for ‘Ocean of Tears’.
Searching for the treasure of a beating heart as she gets to grips with the seas, Polachek’s ‘Ocean of Tears’ is the latest single from upcoming debut album Pang. Mixing the songstress’ hauntingly airy vocals with some PC Music-inspired Danny L Harle bass (Valley Girl and A. G. Cook also lend a hand on production), the singer offers up her unique pop blend.
“‘Ocean of Tears’ is dedicated to the sharp pain of being in love with someone far away, and the maddening doubt that comes with it”, Polachek divulges, adding that “I’d really like someone to figure skate to this at the 2022 Winter Olympics”.
The last track to be recorded for Pang, the singer teams up with producer Danny L Harle for what has become a common pairing, leading to tracks such as Polachek’s ‘Parachute’ and Harle’s ‘Ashes of Love’ already.

Known for her work as half of former duo Chairlift, lending her voice to Charli XCX‘s Pop 2 track ‘Tears’ and writing for the likes of Beyoncé, Solange and Fischerspooner, Polachek will take her debut solo record on the road in October.
Playing dates in Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin and Amsterdam, fans will be able to hear material from Pang for the first time.
