YouTube star and actress Carrie Hope Fletcher is doing her last performance as Eponine today on the West End show Les Miserables.
Fletcher has played the role of Eponine since June 2013 and is the only West End actress said to also play the role of young Eponine back in 2001. The original contract which Fletcher signed was meant to end in 2014 when she was going to play Beth in War of the Worlds national arena tour. However, two months later she was asked to return to join the 30th-anniversary cast.
On Twitter, Fletcher tweeted this explaining everything that was going on:
After an amazing two years fulfilling her lifetime dream, she is leaving to focus on other things in her life such as her new fiction book ‘On The Other Side’ which comes out later this year.
On the 15th of February, Fletcher shall be cutting a massive 7-12 inches off of her hair to donate to The Little Princess Trust with all earnings going to the GOSHCC (Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity). Fletcher has gone way over her original goal of £10,000 and is now on £11,500! If you would like to donate, feel free to here.
Another thing Fletcher is doing is something we are yet to know of. On Twitter, she tweeted “I have something exceedingly exciting to move onto however I can’t reveal what it is yet”. Later revealing that she is not the new Doctor Who companion, but who knows, maybe one day!
We want to wish Carrie Fletcher all the luck with her future and we know she will continue to do us proud with whatever she is doing next!
