“No Sleep” hails the ‘work hard, play hard’ mindset of the music industry, and reminds listeners that life is short. Thus, it’s okay to lose a little sleep if it results in making a new, valuable connection or harnessing a powerful dose of inspiration.
A bilingual rapper, Dré raps in English and Spanish, blending contagious pop-flavored hooks with washes of alluring sound. It’s a sound inspired by artists such as Kanye West, Drake, and Kid Cudi.
As a former athlete and excellent student, Dré is no stranger to the hustle approach. In school, he received baseball offers from Division I, II, and III universities, resulting in attending one of the nation’s elite Ivy League colleges.
